We’re excited to host a free Conversational English Class at our church this winter starting in February! This class is open to people of all ages and backgrounds and is designed to help English language learners build confidence using English in everyday life through conversation, practical activities, and a supportive community environment.
The classes will be taught by Jill Johnson, who has been working in the EAL (English as an Additional Language) field since 2015. She has taught both permanent residents and international students at MITT, the U of M, and Red River College. She will be joined by her dad, Brian Dormer, who taught for over 30 years and also holds his EAL certification.
We also welcome volunteers who would like to help with conversation circles, small group discussions, and classroom activities. No teaching experience is required!
