Ascent to Jerusalem: Online Learning Experience

This virtual course is designed to engage small groups and churches seeking answers to the following questions:

What does the Bible say about the Holy Land? Is Biblical prophecy really a factor in the Middle East? As Christians, are we supposed to support Israel? How can I show love to both Israelis and Palestinians without offending someone? What is the best way to stand for peace?

BLAST Year-End Celebration

BLAST wrap-up party, Sunday, June 15 (during the service)

Weather permitting we will be outside to play and party and celebrate the completion of another year of experiencing God’s love. If you can send kids with good footwear for running around and maybe a hat, water bottle, and some sunscreen. We will start in the service but release the kids after some singing together.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to all the teachers and helpers from this year. You have invested in our kids and we are grateful!

We are looking to recruit a few BLAST teachers and helpers for the Fall. If you have interest, contact the office.

Good Friday Service

Good Friday Service at 10am. We cannot get to the amazement of Resurrection Sunday without going through the Friday we now call Good. Come journey with Jesus and community to the cross. It will be a traditional Tenebrae Service which is sometimes called a service of “shadows” as candles are slowly extinguished as we mark the suffering and death of Jesus, for us.

Ash Wednesday Service @ HCCC

Ash Wednesday Service – 7pm, Wednesday, March 5

at Holy Community Covenant Church (1061 Ellice Ave.)

Join us for a one hour service of prayer and song and listening to God’s word as we begin our Lenten journey together. Lent is the 40 day desert journey before Easter where we join with Jesus as he embraces suffering and death. Ash Wednesday service will end with the traditional imposition of ashes where participants will be invited to have the sign of the cross placed on our foreheads as we hear the words, “From dust you came, and from dust you shall return. Repent and believe the gospel.” While this may seem like a very strange way to begin Lent; there is goodness in journeying the desert together – with Jesus! All are welcome. No nursery or kids programming will be available.
